I was approached by my good friend Denis Agarkov, founder of Serene Industries, to create imagery to support the launch of Serene's first keyboard, the Icebreaker. After seeing the design of the Icebreaker for the first time, I couldn't resist the opportunity to help tell the story of such a striking and unapologetic product, with such a clear vision behind its design.

I collaborated with Denis to create three categories of images to help tell a visual story about the Icebreaker. The first presents the Icebreaker in a desolate environment, as if it is a monolithic structure that has appeared in this world for an unknown purpose. The second category of images focuses on the details of the product, revealing its features with dramatic lighting and dancing caustic lights. The third category of images takes the concept of the Icebreaker literally, and illustrates the keyboard's blade-like form splitting violently through large blocks of ice.

The Icebreaker is milled from a solid piece of aluminum, and also features CNC machined keycaps with 800 microperforations to allow the backlight to illuminate them. It will be launching on the Serene Industries website on December 19 2024 and will be in stock immediately.
