Raw Cereal approached me to contribute to the live visuals for Calvin Harris's 2025 DJ residency at Ushuaia in Ibiza. I got to work alongside a team of motion designers, each of whom was tackling a specific song in the set list. For my contribution, I created a wide variety of abstract simulations in Unity. The goal was to create evolving organic fluid forms that have traditionally been accomplished by practical effects.

This simulation system is a hybrid between a two-species physarum system, and a classic implementation of boids. The movement of the boid agents influences the behavior of the physarum agents. I also added new features to allow for greater color separation, and fine-tuned the simulation parameter space to yield interesting, dynamic results. The simulations run in real time, at 5k resolution.
